An afternoon in the Boboli Gardens

As we have been traveling around most weekends, we haven't had much time to enjoy all that Florence has to offer. Since we decided to stick around for the weekend, we headed to the Boboli Gardens of the Pitti Palace.


Laid out in the mid-16th century by Niccolo Pericoli, the seemingly endless gardens were very beautiful and relaxing. We spent our time wandering the paths (above) and finding tucked away grottos, climbing trees (right), enjoying the views over the city and, of course, having fun with statues (below).
